The Developers

Heuningberg is held by NewCo, Suikerbos Ontwikkeling PTY (Ltd), of which Clearlake Capital (68%) and the Bredasdorp Golf Club (32%), are the shareholders and developers.

FOUNDER & CEO OF CLEARLAKE CAPITAL GROUP | BEN SMIT

Ben Smit is the founder and CEO of the Clearlake Capital Group. Prior to
founding Clearlake, Ben was a director of various businesses, serving on risk
management and remuneration committees. These companies include financial services, import, manufacturing, and real estate companies. Ben has
more than twenty years’ experience in real estate private investments.

WERNER CLAASSEN | REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

Werner Claassen has twenty years of real estate development experience, ranging from deal origination to turn-key project management. He
is responsible for the construction and end-to-end project management
of Clearlake Capital’s real estate developments. He is an expert in environmentally sustainable building practices and has owned and managed
various entrepreneurial businesses.

BREDASDORP GOLF CLUB REPRESENTATIVE | LOUW COETZER

Louw Coetzer, who represents the Bredasdorp Golf Club on the Suikerbos
board, served as CFO of Overberg Agri for more than twenty years, when it
was bought by Acorn Private equity, and Louw subsequently became Acorn’s
COO. Louw has a wealth of experience structuring medium and large M&A
transactions in a multitude of business sectors, and has an in-depth knowledge of the financial cyclicality of investments. Louw has been a local Bredasdorp resident for over twenty years, and also serves as the Golf Club Captain.
Louw has a passion for golf and the Bredasdorp golf course and would like to
see his sons still playing there in thirty years.
